Hillview has a dedicated careers department to provide access to Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) for all students for Year 7 to Year 13 lead by our Employability and Careers Leaders.

Here at Hillview we use the Career Pilot

A system to track and support your progress from year 7 to the end of your time here at Hillview. It allows you to keep a record of your areas/sectors you are interested in, research into training pathways as well as conversation with mentors, and the Future Pathways Teams to enable a personalised approach to your careers journey.

  • 10 students unplaced (various reasons)

  • 86 places accepted, 82/86 students achieved their first choice (85%), 4/86 (5%) achieved their insurance offer or alternative

 

Russell Group universities

  • 16% of students will be attending Russell Group universities

  • University of Liverpool (3 students) and University Leeds (2) were the most popular

  • Also, Cardiff University, University of Nottingham, Queen Mary University of London, Kings College London, University of Southampton, University of Warwick and University of York were chosen

  • The most popular courses were Geography (3), followed by History (2), Media (2) and Psychology (2)

  • Other courses included: Media, Nursing, Classical studies, History of Art, Sustainable Fashion and Economics
