Funding and Fees
From September 2025 in England, eligible working parents can access up to 30 hours per week of free childcare and education for children aged 9 months until they start school . All parents of children aged 3 to 4 years old are entitled to a universal 15 hours a week. Eligibility depends on your circumstances, including your income and working status, and you must live in England to access these benefits.
For children aged 9 months to 4 years (working parents) 
The 30 Hours Offer: Eligible working parents can get up to 30 hours a week of free childcare for 38 weeks a year. 
Who is eligible: This scheme is for children aged from 9 months up to the term before they start school. You may be eligible if you and your partner (if you have one) work the equivalent of 16 hours a week at National Minimum Wage or more, and your adjusted net income is less than £100,000 per year. 
When it starts: The funding begins the term after your child turns 9 months old.
