Sixth Form Dress Code
The Sixth Form Dress Code focuses on practicality and context-dependent dressing.
Students should be warm, comfortable and dressed in a manner that would be suitable in a work environment. We recognise that clothing policies in many work environments now favour a relaxed approached for everyday dressing and feel it is appropriate to replicate this in our Sixth Form Dress Code. Please see a simplified version of permitted clothing below:
During School Day
Clothing during school day should be chosen with a view to being comfortable and appropriately dressed for your studies. The following conditions apply:

Lanyard must be worn at all times

No tracksuits or sports wear inc. hoodies

No trainers
-
No ripped or faded jeans

No flip flops

No showing of midriff

No strappy/off shoulder tops
-
Skirts above knee to be worn with opaque tights

No short shorts
-
One facial piercing is allowed (will need to be removed for practical Sport and Dance lessons)
For School Events
Students who are representing us at formal school events (either onsite or elsewhere) will be expected to dress in a more formal manner as befits such occasions.

Smart jumper/cardigan

Jacket/blazer/Suit

Smart knee length dress or skirt

Smart shoes/boots
The Sixth Form Team retains the right to act as the final authority in the interpretation of the dress code. If unsure, parents and students are advised to contact the Director of Sixth Form for clarification before purchasing an item.
If a student does not comply with the dress code and they are unable to rectify it then and there, they will be sent to home to change clothing or footwear.
They will also receive a breaktime detention scheduled for the following day.
