Business Studies
“Find a job you like and you add five days to every week.” H. Jackson Brown, Jr
Everyone who enters the workforce will encounter various aspects of the business environment. Management techniques and financial principles apply to local government just as they do in for-profit businesses.
This course prepares students for the challenges and issues they will face in the workplace, encouraging them to consider their options after completing their education.
The Business Studies GCSE introduces students to the fundamental principles of business that they are likely to encounter in their careers. Students learn how businesses recruit and manage their staff, and how this knowledge applies to their own lives. They gain an understanding of how businesses generate profits and the importance of those profits, learn how products and services are produced and managed, and explore marketing strategies used to reach customers. Additionally, they study the impact of national economic changes, such as recessions and rising inflation, on businesses and employees.
