Senior Leadership Team

Hilary was appointed as Headteacher at Hillview in January 2016, following a wide variety of leadership positions and the Associate Headteacher role within a highly successful all-girls school in Medway. She completed the National Headteacher qualification with the National College of School Leadership in 2015.

Hilary currently Chairs the West Kent Headteacher Forum and West Kent Travel Forum.  She is also a founder member of the WKSATA Alliance.

Aurélie first joined Hillview in 2002 and then again in spring 2017. Over this time, she has held a number of middle and senior leadership positions both pastoral and academic. She completed the Leadership Pathways qualification with the National College of School Leadership in 2011.

Aurélie  is currently Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Teaching & Learning standards and Key Stage 4 attainment.

Rebecca joined Hillview in 2007 as a teacher of Physical Education. Since then, she has undertaken a wide variety of roles within curriculum and pastoral areas, including Leader of Community and Assistant Head of Physical Education.

Rebecca became Assistant Headteacher in spring 2016, then Deputy Headteacher in January 2022, with responsibility for Key Stage 3, Curriculum structural & options overview, Timetabling, Data, Attendance and Behaviour. She is also the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Simone will be joining our team in the new year

Holly joined Hillview as Assistant Headteacher in 2023, having held a Leadership post in a previous school.

Holly has responsibility for the teaching and learning and attainment in Key Stage 3, Admissions and Specialism overview.

Paul joined Hillview in September 2024. He has taught Mathematics in secondary schools for over 20 years. In his previous school he held many leadership roles, raising standards in the curriculum, assessment, monitoring of pupil progress, and teaching and learning.

Paul is responsible for the teaching and learning and performance at KS4, PiXL, Data, Assessment and Reporting, and the provision and performance of groups, including Pupil Premium and HPA.

Teresa joined Hillview as a Curriculum Leader for Computing and IT and as the School Lead for vocational qualifications. She was appointed as Assistant Headteacher in 2022, having held a Leadership post in a previous school. Teresa has previously worked in the IT industry and across a range of educational sectors including HE and FE as well as Secondary. Previous roles have included Head of Faculty and Director of Sixth Form.

Teresa is responsible for teaching and learning and performance at KS5, Inclusion, Options and IAG, Community and Character Development, Super and Extra Curricular and the Vocational Curriculum.

Amanda joined the Senior Leadership Team in September 2022 and has responsibility for staff recruitment, policies, professional development and staff well-being.
 
Amanda is CIPD qualified with over 13 year’s experience working in HR within a school environment.

Teresa joined Hillview in September 2020. In her previous school, she worked in senior leadership roles including pastoral, academic standards, staff development and teaching and learning. Teresa has completed an MA in Education in 2017 and National Professional Headteacher Qualification (NPQH) in 2020. 

Teresa is the Centre Leader for The View@East Street in the heart of Tonbridge, which is a unique small-scale provision for Post-16 students studying Level 1 and 2 vocational and academic courses. In addition to this, she has developed ViewPoint which is an Anxiety Based School Avoidance programme for Key Stage 4 students. Viewpoint is also based at this satellite provision and aims to develop and enhance Mental Health provision and educational engagement across West Kent Schools.

EXTENDED SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Kate has worked at Hillview since 2005, working in a range of roles in the English department before becoming Director of English in 2015.

Kate is responsible for ensuring every student, no matter their prior level of ability or confidence in English, can both succeed academically and develop a lifelong love of the written word.

Emma was promoted to Director of Mathematics after joining Hillview in 2016 as a teacher of Science and Key Stage Leader for Mathematics.

Emma is responsible for ensuring each student has every opportunity to explore and reach their full potential through exceptional teaching and learning within the Mathematics department.

Marcus is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of teaching and learning within the Science department and helping students achieve their full potential in Science

Ken joined Hillview as a Curriculum Leader for Geography in 2017 and was appointed Director of Sixth Form in September 2019. Prior to this he held a range of Senior and middle leadership roles in other schools.

Ken leads on the strategic overview of the Sixth Form as well as supporting students with all aspects of their studies, pastoral care and future pathway choices.

Steph joined Hillview in 2014 as a trainee teacher and has held a variety of leadership roles within the Maths department over this time. Steph became Director of Student Progress Post-Covid in January 2022 then Director of standards in January 2023.

Steph supports with timetabling, duties and works with students and staff across the school to promote and maintain progress.
