Cyber Explorers Competition 2025

We are thrilled to share that three teams of our students recently participated in this year’s Cyber Explorers competition. This event brought together schools from across the UK in a dynamic and engaging challenge focused on cyber security.

The Cyber Explorers Cup has emerged as a prominent event in the educational calendar, encouraging students to immerse themselves in critical thinking and problem-solving within the realm of technology. Designed to simulate real-world cybersecurity scenarios, the competition involves a thrilling one-hour race where teams work to ensure the safety of the Cyber Squad’s cutting-edge headquarters before its grand opening. 

Participants tackled a variety of challenges spanning three vital areas: People, Processes, and Technology. This multifaceted approach not only enhances students’ understanding of cybersecurity but also fosters teamwork and collaboration, skills that are invaluable in today’s digital landscape.

Each school competes in a ‘capture the flag’ format, where success in each challenge unlocks new puzzles and security tasks, pushing participants' capabilities to their limits. This format not only keeps the competition exciting but also closely mirrors the challenges encountered in real cybersecurity environments. It is a commendable opportunity for our young minds to learn, thrive, and showcase their skills.

The stakes in this year’s competition are high, with schools vying for the prestigious title of 2025 Champions. Alongside the glory of winning, the prizes on offer include up to £2000 worth of technology vouchers and a range of educational resources, which would greatly benefit our school and enhance the learning experience for our students.

The results of the Cyber Explorers competition will be announced on April 30th. We sincerely hope that our students performed well and, most importantly, had a fantastic time participating in this exciting challenge.
