Care Fertility Tunbridge Wells unveils artwork by local Hillview students.
Care Fertility Tunbridge Wells unveils artwork by local Hillview students. Care Fertility, the leading fertility and IVF clinic in Tunbridge Wells, is delighted to announce the installation of artwork created by 10 talented local art students from Hillview School for Girls, that celebrates the science of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). To kick off the programme with the school, Yvonne Lodge and Frances Keen from Care Fertility went to the school to meet the students and provide an educational session on the science of IVF. As part of the collaboration with Hillview, the students were given a real-life brief to work from and have been paid for their work. The artwork, which is displayed throughout the clinic, takes inspiration from the science behind assisted reproduction. Hillview staff, students and parents joined the Care Fertility team on Thursday 3rd October 2024 for an evening to celebrate the artwork being installed at the Care Fertility Tunbridge Wells clinic. The clinic has recently undergone a major renovation, bringing two separate locations together under one roof at the newly extended clinic on Queen’s Road. This collaboration with local students adds a unique and uplifting touch to the refreshed environment, providing a welcoming atmosphere for patients. The newly renovated clinic, which offers a range of world-class fertility treatments, is now open to patients, with the student artwork proudly on display.
Commenting on the project, Frances Keen, Clinic Director at Care Fertility Tunbridge Wells, said: “We are thrilled to showcase the creativity of these young artists and have artwork that celebrates the science of IVF and the important role it plays in creating families. Their work not only brightens our clinic but also reflects the importance of community involvement in creating a warm, positive space for our patients.”
Hilary Burkett, Headteacher at Hillview commented “The students have gained so much from taking part in this project. In addition to the real life commission experience and the scientific knowledge that they have gained, understanding that their work may provide joy and hope during a time of need, is immeasurable. The value in communities working together to better each others lives is something we hold dear at Hillview. I am delighted that we have been involved in this partnership and am hugely grateful to Frances and the Care Fertility team for their approach and the opportunity”.
